AFFIDAVIT of PROBABLE CAUSE


1-That on Saturday- 08 October 2016, defendant- Mario Crawley, DOB: 01 August 1991, took a
14 week old, brown, female, pitbull puppy named Hennessey, to the veterinarian hospital (PETS)
located at 930 North Queen Street, Lancaster, PA. 17603 to be checked.
2-That upon Crawley's arrival with the dog, at PETS, he advised the receptionist that the dog's
legs were not moving. When asked what happened, Crawley replied that, he did not know. The
receptionist, Stephanie Myers recalls that later she heard Crawley tell the nurse that the dog had
fallen, from the deck.
3-That Dr. Mark Huber who works at PETS clinic examined the dog and determined that the dog
had been under nourished, dogs right eye was swollen, right side of face swollen, she appeared
to have multiple fracturers, paralyzes in the hind limbs, and that Hennessey was in pain, and
suffering.
4-That Dr. Huber recommended that Crawley have the dog euthanize, because there was nothing
he could do for the dog. Dr. Huber stated that Crawley left the office saying, he wanted his family
to say their good-byes to the dog.
5-That on Monday-10 October 2016, John Kondravy, who runs ORCA had been advised of the
Hennessey incident, by Dr. Mark Huber. Dr. Huber advised Kondravy of the dogs condition adding
that the dog had a severed spinal cord and there was nothing he could do, but to have the dog
euthanize. Dr. Huber advised Kondravy that Crawley left with the dog and he was not able to
reach Crawley by phone. Dr. Huber also stated that, a woman called into the PETS clinic claiming
to be Mario Crawley's mother-in-law. According to Dr. Huber the woman stated that Mario
Crawley had beat the dog on prior occasions.
6-Kondravy went to Crawley residence, at 324 Primrose Dr., Mountville, PA. and spoke with Mario
Crawley. John Kondravy was inquiring as to the puppy's well being. Crawley at that time, told
Kondravy that the dog had disappeared and he could not find him. Kondravy stated that he left
