Today I went in and learned most of the adults names. I

started off by helping with exercise and then taking notes
for the adults during the lessons, some couldnt write.
Many of them were happy I was there, and talked like we
had known each other forever.
When I got there everyone was so happy to see me. I
helped with their exercise, and while I did that I would
talk with them. Sometimes I didnt understand
everything, so that is something I want to work on. I also
helped with organizing folders, by putting homework
assignments in and marking if they completed their
goals. Then during their lesson, I went around helping
them write.
Today I was assigned to give the lesson. My lesson was on
Fall into Reading, so I taught them about different
genres of books, the parts of a book, and read a story to
them. At the end of my lesson I had them design the
cover of a book. I thought the lesson went well, if I get
assigned to do another Ill just have to make it longer.
Today I helped with the lesson. As the other teacher was
talking about nouns, I went around making sure everyone
was taking their notes. At the end of the lesson I helped
the adults with their worksheet on nouns.
During the time that the adults were supposed to
exercise, I walked around with them and talked to them
about their day. At MGF they grow many plants, one of
them being pumpkins, so as people came and bought
some, I helped carry it to their car.
When I got there some of the adults welcomed me at my
car, since they were outside for exercise, and they asked
me to play basketball with them so I did that. I also
played football with one of the adults. When we went
back inside I helped organize folders, and also helped the
adults with their math worksheets.
Today I helped the adults accomplish their goals. Each
one has a different set of goals for the week, and some
have some set for the month. For the most part I helped
them with their goal of completing an entire puzzle or
math work sheet.

Later we went outside to do their daily exercise. I walked

around with the adults, and we had some fun waving at
the people driving by. One of the adults likes to scare
people, so I let her scare me a lot, and I pretended to be
scared. For the last little bit, I helped carry pumpkins, and
other vegetable, to peoples cars.
Today I helped the adults with their individual goals. After
that another volunteer came in and gave a Spanish
lesson. During part of the lesson I made sure the adults
were participating, and that they were taking notes.
For the other part of the Spanish lesson I helped the other
teachers decorate MGF with Halloween things. We hung
streamers from the ceiling, and cut out Halloween bats
and ghosts for the walls.
I helped the adults make a Halloween craft. Not all of
them can cut, so I helped cut out the paper plate skeleton
craft that they were making.
After the craft I helped set up the adults for a picture. I
also took pictures of the teachers since they were
dressed up as the band KISS. After taking pictures we
went back inside and I helped prepare the snack. I put
peanut butter and marshmallows on a paper plate. Later I
helped some of the adults assemble the apples, peanut
butter, and marshmallows, into a monster mouth.
Today I helped the teacher with the lesson. While she
talked, I would write on the board. After the lesson I
helped another teacher take down the Halloween
decorations, and then put up Thanksgiving decorations.
I helped the adults with their goals. Today was pretty
funny. One of the adults said I was their girlfriend, and
told me all the dates we had been on. After we all had a
good laugh, we had to tell him he wasnt allowed to date
people from MGF. We also made a video today with all the
adults. Its called the mannequin challenge, so we stood
frozen in different positions, while one of the teachers
went around and recorded us. Before I left I made the
snack, and then the other teachers passed it out.
Once I got there today I helped finish the adults goals.
Then I gave a lesson about sentences. I wrote on the
board a sentence, and then the adults had to tell me if it
was written correctly or not. My lesson went a lot better
than my first one, it was longer like it should be. While
the adults exercised outside, I helped one of the teachers
make snack, and when they got back inside we passed it
out, and I talked to the adults about their day while they
ate.
