I have recently come across your internship opportunity that was posted on Job Mine. This
position interests me because it is an opportunity to help teen Latinas to get informed about
college. Having volunteered to tutor many students in reading and writing, I am aware of the
importance of this internship.
During my last years of high school, I helped tutor middle school students in reading and writing.
This tutoring opportunity helped me develop speaking and listening skills when it comes to
helping others improve. I can identify strong and weak points in a paper, and can better organize
many essays to make them stronger. This volunteer job helped me be efficient and not bring a
person down when revising work that they are proud of. I am a perfect match for this internship
since I have experience with students and assisting with essays.
My experience and contacts and confirm that I am a well-rounded person that can meet the
expectations of the ideal intern that you are requiring. As you will see on my resume, I have not
only worked with teens, but also with the geriatric community at a nursing home, and patients at
a hospital. This work experience shows that I have excellent interaction skills with an individual
