Shown in Figure 1, the seven servos are driven by selectively sending a pwm signal to the servos
of interest as well as selectively powering those servos using a npn BJT to invert the PWM signal, two
shift registers, and seven n channel MOSFETS. The IR rangefinder sends an anolog voltage to the TIVA
based on user proximity as requires only power, ground, and a TIVA input pin. The speed of the windmill
is converted into an anolog voltage by conecting the fan blades to a motor. The motor is connected to a
transresistive circuit using an op amp to produce a varying output voltage read by the TIVA. Both the
curtain button, used to detect that the curtain is fully closed, and the start/reset button, used to begin
or end the show, are connected to ground and a pullup resistor to power. On both, TIVA input pins are
connected to the same pin of the button as the resistor lead. The curtain motor is controlled using a
PWM signal sent to the enable line of a LM293D h bridge, with two digital signals sent to the input
terminals of the h bridge from the TIVA. The motor is connected to the two outputs of the H bridge.

Shown in Figure 2, the IR Emitter uses a 555 timer to output a constant frequency pulse to an IR light
utilizing a n channel MOSFET and IR diode independent of the TIVA.

Figure 2: IR Emitter Circuit

Shown in Figure 3, the background lights circuit, the welcome lights circuit, and the lightning circuit
consist of serially connected LEDs with a +13V power source and an active high logic-controlled Nchannel MOSFET switch connecting to ground. The background LED switches are PWM controlled for
controlling light intensity and allowing for color blending. The lightning circuit LEDs are pulsed briefly to
simulate lightning when the windmill speed has passed the speed threshold for lightning. The three IR
receivers consist of a phototransistor, a high-pass filter, and a Schmitt trigger connecting to a digital
input pin.

Shown in Figure 4, the audio circuit consists of an AUDIOTRGX board, three shift registers, and an Nchannel MOSFET for each audio pin. By selectively grounding the individual pins, corresponding tracks
from an SD card are played through the audio jack output.
