Hiring Process
For Office Use Only

Date Initial Hiring Stage

. Completed application is turned in

. Application filed with personnel board & 60 Day Hiring


period begins

. Family Interview should be completed by two members


during hiring period

. Member completes DOT physical at Stevi Clinic during


hiring period

. Criminal and Driver history checks should Be completed


during hiring period

. Upon completion of Hiring period and all it’s compo


nents, member’s application will be re-reviewed by
personnel board. If all critical criteria have been met,
Applicant will be hired on as a 6 month Probationary
Member.

. New Member assigned a sponsor and station by officers

. Upon completion of orientation, new member may be


Issued a pager, and begin to respond to calls

. Ratified by officers / general membership


With interview of applicant at business meeting.

. Ratified by rural board / town council

. Applicant to be interviewed at 6 months to


determine performance and status of prob.
