LESSON PLAN (Second Class)

Topic: Getting to know you


Aims:
To develop students' abilities to use the verb to be in statements Yes-no (orally,
written form)
To develop students' abilities to recognize nationalities and numbers in English
To develop students' abilities to work cooperatively
Learning Outcomes:
Understand simple sentences about the verb to be to express nationalities and
numbers
Internalize new vocabulary
Level: Beginner
Materials: the board, worksheet, audios, reading
Estimated time: 2 hours 45 minutes
TIME

ACTIVITY

10 min

Teacher arrives to the class. Greeting- Warm up activity.


Teachers says ( introducing new vocabulary )

40 min

Feedback activity about greetings and numbers plus Verb to be.


On the board, teacher explains some grammar about verb to be
and introduces numbers. Teacher calls students to the board to
write some numbers. Students play game. (find your partner)

15 min

Teacher introduces the topic nationalities by asking students


the countries or places they have visited or which country they
would like to visit. Teacher writes on the board some countries
and nationalities and ask students to match them.

30 min

Teacher writes on the board where are you from? I am from


And students practice with a partner the question with the
different nationalities and countries they have learned

Teacher then pronounce some countries and nationalities and


student listen and write down the words they understand, they

work cooperatively with a partner
