The offering for December is for Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services, Sewing Circle,
Released Time, Landis Homes, Philhaven and Friendship Community budgeted items.

Dec. 11, Sun.- 7 p.m. All are welcome to the Christmas program at the Red Run
Mennonite Church. There will be music, drama, chimes, and carols with fellowship
afterwards.
Dec. 14, Wed.-JBA, JGA, and Jr. Youth will meet at the Bowmansville Mennonite
Church from 7-8:30 p.m. JGA will be having a Christmas Party. Please bring a
wrapped $5 gift for a gift exchange. Jr. Youth will also be having a Christmas Party.
Boys should bring a salty snack to share with the group, and girls should bring a sweet
snack. Everyone should bring a $5 gift for a gift exchange.
Dec. 15, Thurs.- Jr. Youth will meet at the church from 7-8:30 p.m. for a Christmas
Party. Please bring along a $5 gift.
Dec. 18, Sun.- Please plan to join in Christmas caroling on Sunday afternoon, at 3
p.m. at the Harvest View lobby at Landis Homes. Details are in your mailbox and on
the narthex table.
Dec. 21, Wed.-Sewing Circle for Dec. District Sewing Circle will meet in the morning
and afternoon, in the BMC basement. Join ladies of all ages (men are also welcome) in
quilting, knotting comforts, sewing baby kimonos. A special thanks for all the work
being done at home and brought to sewing circle to complete kits. MCC urgently
needs relief kits due to multiple situations such as in Syria, Iraq, and Ukraine. The kits
offer a tangible way you can share Gods love and compassion, reminding people that
their needs are not forgotten. Relief kit contents: 4 large bars bath soap, 1 plastic bottle
shampoo (13-24 oz. placed in ziplock bag), 4 large bars laundry soap, 4 adult size
toothbrushes, 4 new bath towels (medium weight, dark or bright colors), 2 wide tooth
combs, 1 fingernail clipper, 1 box adhesive bandages (min.40 count, assorted), 1 pkg
sanitary pads (18-24 count thin maxi). Place items in bag or box and bring them to
church. Sewing circle will see that they are taken to MRC for distribution. If you are
unable to contribute a complete Relief Kit, donations of bath towels are welcome
Dec. 25, Sun.-Worship Service - Christmas Program will begin at 9:30 a.m., preceded
by prelude music starting around 9:15 a.m. There will be no Sunday School classes.
-ANNOUNCING The Venture Program for Grades 9-12 at Hinkletown
Mennonite School! HMS is expanding its mission beyond Pre-k-Grade 8 with the
HMS Venture Program for Grades 9-12: personalized and flexible, students get realworld preparation for higher education or entering the workforce. The Venture
Program is non-traditional, blending hands-on, collaborative & online learning to help
students make connections between faith, life & vocation. Community partnerships
provide learning beyond the classroom. Opening semester begins January 23, 2017 for

-We are giving a Christmas Blessing to some families this year and you can help by
taking a star from the Christmas tree with a specific item for you to get. These items
will then be given before Christmas to those families. We need the items by Sunday
the 18th of Dec., you can put them in the kitchen. Thanks the Outreach Committee
