Curriculum Standard and Benchmark
Curriculum standard is defined as, Defines what a student is expected to know at certain
stages of education. Benchmark is defined as, A specific, measurable outcome or indicator that
usually is tied to the curriculum standard (Gunter). Curriculum standards and benchmark are
measurable. These are measurable because benchmark is tied to curriculum standards. Without
curriculum standards then benchmark would not be able to measure the students skills according
to the curriculum standards.
