Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for the internship at the position of Younger Assistant for Head of the
Cultural Section (Bureau of Public Affairs) at the US Embassy in Warsaw, Poland, currently
advertised on your website.
I am currently studying in my final year of high school and after I am planning to study law
with parallel American Studies. At the moment I am sure that working in Bureau of Public
Affairs will provide me with practical knowledge on the cultural management. I am fluent in
English, Polish and I have good working knowledge of Italian and Hungarian.
As you will see from the attached CV, I have done volunteer work at Model United Nations
conferences. My duties at those events included group management and project planning. I
also had face-to-face contact with organizers and participants. I created the application forms
for the event and many times solved organizational problems.
I believe I would make a reliable assistant as I am organized, conscientious and willing to
work in a group. I have good communicative skills and I am able to come to favourable, for
the parties to the conflict, compromise in a short time.
I attach a reference from Mr George White, who was my volunteer agent in my most recent
project with the Vistula International Model United Nations.
I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss my suitability for this post in an interview. I look
forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
xyz.
