1. List two ways in which biographies benefit children.

Biographies allow a child to see the world through someone elses eyes.
They learn a lot about another person with very different worldly experiences than
themselves, which can create compassion and empathy. Biographies can also
extend a childs view into the future. They are able to see how someone led a long
and fulfilling life, and can then reach for their own dreams along with that.

2. Explain the difference between biography, autobiography, and memoir.

A biography is a piece of literature written about someones life
by another person. An Autobiography and memoir are similar in that
they are both written by the person that the piece is about, however
an autobiography is usually seen as more of a list of
accomplishments, while a memoir is more about the storytelling,
and the brief moments of someones life that they want to share.
