Alright Kindergarten we are going to be using patterns in this lesson.
Focus (1min)
I need you sitting on the carpet with your hands in your bucket.
Procedure
Introduction (2 min)
Hook: We are going to be doing some patterning today, I know youve been doing patterning
already.
Assessment of Prior Knowledge: Who remembers the tree pattern we did on yesterday? How
can we use our bodies to make patterns? Did anyone find any patterns in their houses?
Body (13 min)
Method: Ok, today we are going to be making strings of lights, like this (example). For this
project you 6 or 7 lights. You can get two or three different colors, but you must use those
colors to make a pattern. There are lots of different colors to choose from, but you only get 6
or 7 alright?
Closure (3 min)
Refocus: Great job everyone
Transition to Next Lesson: Good job everyone, now we are going to go to snack.
