SUMMARY
Summary of bill: The S.2425 Patient Access and Medicare Protection Act was created to
improve the payment issues regarding rehabilitation technology and selective radiation treatment
services. This bill was made as an adjustment to titles XVIII AND XIX of the Social Security
Act, which are acts involving the health insurance for the aged and disabled and funding for
medical and health-related services for those with limited income, as a means to secure
flexibility in applying for the hardship exception as of 2017 and other purposes.
