Five Accredited NGOs for Senior Citizen
IV - RATIONALE:

It is one declared policy of the state to promote just dynamic social order to
ensure the prosperity and independence of the nation and free the people from
poverty through policies that provide adequate social services, promote full
employment a rising standard of living and improved quality of life.

In all matters relating to the care, health and benefits of the elderly, the state
shall adopt an integrated and comprehensive approach to health development which
shall endeavor to make essential goods, health and other social services available to
elderly, disabled, women and children.

Further it is declared that through the family has the duty to take care for its
elderly members, the state may also help through just programs of social security.

V- OBJECTIVE

A. To recognize the rights of Senior Citizen to take their proper place in society
and make them a concern of the family, community and government;

B. To give full support to the improvement of the total well being of the
elderly and their full participation as an integral part of the Philippine society.

C. To motivate and encourage the Senior Citizens to contribute to the nation

building.

D. To encourage their families and the communities they live in to Re-affirm and
apply the valued Filipino traditions of caring for the elders.

VI - EXPECTED OUTPUT

To have establish and operational mechanism whereby the participation and

contribution of Senior Citizen are maximized and measures program were
appreciated and implemented beneficial to the Senior Citizen that include community
based health and rehabilitation program in every political and local government unit.

VII- PARTICIPANTS

All Senior Citizens of Barangay Balulang under the jurisdiction of Chapter 3

and Balulang of this City of Cagayan de Oro.
