TATA Group

Tata Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate holding company headquartered in Mumbai,


Maharashtra, India. It was founded in 1867 by Jamsetji Tata and gained international recognition
after purchasing several global companies. It is India's largest conglomerate. In 2015-16, the
revenue of Tata companies, taken together, is $103.51 billion. These companies collectively
employ over 660,000 people.

Steel has manufacturing operations in 26 countries. Tata Steel primarily serves customers in
the automotive, construction, consumer goods, engineering, packaging, lifting and excavating,
agriculture, energy and power, aerospace, shipbuilding, rail and defence and security sectors.

Tata Motors Limited (is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company. Its products
include passenger cars, trucks, vans, coaches, buses, construction equipment and military
vehicles.

Tata Salt was launched in 1983 by Tata Chemicals as India's first packaged iodised salt brand.
Today, it is the market leader in India's packaged salt market it commands a 65 percent
market share, enhancing taste in more than 100 million households. Domestic competitors
include Annapurna, Captain Cook, Nirma Shudh and Aashirvaad. However major competition
is only given by Surya Salt which holds the second largest market share after Tata Salt.
