I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Phillip Le over the last 2 years. I met Phillip as student in my Precalculus class. During this time, I have observed Phillip to be a hard working, responsible person who is very passionate about learning. Academically, he consistently completed all assigned work and routinely scored high on assessments. He was also very active participant in collaborative assignments and group discussions. Currently, Phillip maintains a grade point average of 4.0 and has plans to pursue a career as an Aerospace Engineering. Outside the classroom, Phillip keeps busy with work, athletics, hobbies and clubs. He has been employed in home constructing where is worked over 100 hours over the last 2 years learning the trade. He was a member of the El Capitan High School freshman football team and a member of the wrestling team where he won multiple medals. Phillip hobbies include cycling, boxing, taekwondo, singing and cooking. Phillip has also been involved in many clubs such as the Anime club, the Breakdance club and the Robotics club. Phillip also has a passion to help others. He currently has almost 80 hours of volunteer time. He has volunteered 10 hours at the Applegate park zoo, 3.5 hours at with Merced City Youth Council and 4 hours helping the El Capitan FFA. Most of his volunteer times come from helping the HPEC where he has 58 hours of service time. On top of all the success Phillip has had in his academics, I have found Phillip to be a kind and respectful person with a heart to help others. It is because of these characteristics that I have no reservation in recommending Mr. Phillip Le to any program he applies for. He will be a strong asset to any group, organization or institute he is associated with.
