Graphs show increases in plate displacement (δmp) with soil width, thickness, and number of mesh elements. Maximum δmp was 0.1417 mm for a 1m x 1m plate under 1.8m of soil. Mesh convergence analysis found δmp increased minimally with more than 55,000 elements. Additional graphs show linear increases in δmp with soil thickness and height for axially loaded plates.
