SOL 12.4: The student will read, comprehend, and analyze the
development of British literature and literature of other cultures.
d) Relate literary works and authors to major themes and issues of their
eras.
e) Analyze the social and cultural function of British literature.
Step 1: The students will be reading the play Titus Andronicus.
Step 2: The teacher shall provide a mini-lesson discussing the position
of the play within the time frame of British history.
Step 3: The students will now pull out their school-issued
computers/tablets (or already be inside of a computer lab) and navigate
to the Mind Meister web page or application.
Step 4: The students shall break apart into groups of 3-5 (depending on
the class size).
Step 5: The students will use the collaborative mind-mapping
technology to investigate what effects the play would have had on
The Mind Meister mind-mapping software shall be utilized through
tablets or computers whichever is more readily available to the
students.
