DIRECTIONS: You will observe many children performing many different kinds of skills. Select 8 (or as many as you
can) different tasks and describe how the high skilled students and the low skilled students are performing.

Task
1 Hurdles
2 Shotput

3 Baton handoff

Higher Skilled

Lower Skilled

Doing the COTS correctly it was

challenging, but they didnt always
perform the leap correctly.
Challenging and awkward but they
followed the COTS and were
somewhat accurate

Started off using the leap but then

stopped running and just jumped
or went around the hurdles instead
Reverted back to COTS of the
overhand throw and not the
shotput because it was awkward
for them. They were not accurate
either.
These students knew what was to
be done but they thought it would
be more fun to throw the baton
instead. Once I was watching they
would do it correctly

Followed directions, still wasnt

100% what it should be, but they
had the concept of it down.
