One take away from each sheet:

1. PE+Health= Student Success; Test scores tended to be higher for those who were
physically active as compared to those who were not.
2. Every Student Succeeds Act: Game Changer for Health and Physical Education;
ESSA was passed in December 2015, and funding for health and physical education will
begin to flow throughout state schools by July 2017.
3. Every Student Succeeds Act Fact Sheet: Title IV, Part A: Student Support and
Academic Enrichment Grants; There is direct evidence linking physical health to mental
health making physical and health education a gateway to success for children.

Self-reflection:
My role now as a student is to take my education seriously and really learn in depth
about physical education and the many aspects of physical education. I need to ensure
that I will be an impactful teacher and leader in my future career. As a future physical
educator, my responsibility will be to provide children with a beneficial physical
education experience to make sure that they are successful in school and with their
health. I will need to educate them on the importance of physical activity and a healthy
lifestyle. This will help lead to a healthier America.
