With the increasing power levels and compact design of the engine compartment, OE
suppliers are under increasing pressure to enable reduction of size and more efficient
cooling of engine compartment, and reduced noise levels. Bosch engine cooling systems
offer reduced fuel consumption, reduced emissions with optimized coolant flow, optimized
engine temperature, quick heat-up of engine oil at cold start and world class robust designs
with extremely low field failures.
Boschs cooling system varies from 80W-600W catering to passenger cars, MUVs, SUVs,
LCVs and HCs. It is built with high efficiency, is cost-effective and has excellent design
capabilities.
Bosch also has state of the art testing capabilities like the anechoic chamber for component
and car tests, heat exchanger wind tunnel for system testing, fan testing, motor test bench,
P-V testing, vibration testing, temperature and humidity testing, durability testing, etc.
The Energy and Body Systems division of Motor Industries Company Limited., (Mico) will be
producing the engine cooling modules by the third quarter of 2006 at its Naganathapura
plant. This division also offers solutions for energy management and energy distribution up
to the actual energy utilization of vehicles in parts like starters, alternators, ECUs for body
electronics, and components based on mechatronic drives.
