EDUCATION:
Canadian International School of Hong Kong
Studying at grade 10 level in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP) and
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Courses include English, Mathematics Extended, Higher Level Chinese, Individuals and Societies
(History and Geography), Science, and Music.
ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTEERING
Junior Student Ambassadors - President (2012 - 2013)
Led club discussions and activities, organised new student orientation for those new to the school in
grade 7-8.
Orientation included introducing features of the school, explaining the school schedule, and helping
them adjust and make new friends.
Yearbook Club - Assistant Editor (2012 - present)
Member since 2012, and in late 2013 was recruited as editor in training and have been assistant
editor since 2015, will be promoted to the senior editor role in 2017.
Tasks include creating pages, organising photos, and assisting members in training.
Symphonic Winds - Flute Player (2016 - present)
CDNIS advanced band, playing in concerts including the Winter Concert, SEA Band Festival,
Spring Concert, etc. Allows me to develop and practice playing skills more specifically, tonality,
articulation, dynamics, etc.
First Aid St. Johns Medical License (2016)
Developing first aid skills such as bandaging, CPR, etc. Passed exam and received a license that is
valid for 3 years.
Award

for Young People Program (Duke of Edinburgh Award) - Silver (2016 - present)
A recognized award that consists of four sections including service, physical achievement, skills and
a three day expedition. Allows one to participate in a well rounded combination of activities and
continue to challenge oneself through the expedition.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Learner Profile Award - Principled (2013)
IB learner profile award given to the student in the grade who has demonstrated the traits of being
principled throughout the term.
Arts and Clubs Award - JSA (2013)
Award given to the most important members of a club, was a result of the work I did with the Junior
Student Ambassadors.
Principals Award (2015 - 2016)
Academic award given to students with an IB score of 6 and above in all subjects with one
exception, first received in both terms in grade 8, and received again in grade 9.
