Reflection on Verbal Advantage
I have been doing really well on verbal advantage as I have been taking more time to
study and concentrate on improving in this area. I completed all my packets for verbal advantage
on time, but I did not study as much as I should have in the beginning of the year. The first verbal
advantage quiz I took, I received an eighty percent and I was disappointed in myself because I
knew I could improve. On the next test, I was able to study more, and got an A. Since then, I
have been able to maintain As. Sometimes, I have trouble understanding words, but I simply
keep on studying the packet over and over again, which leads towards increased achievement. I
always try to strive to do well in everything that I do, but using and understanding words is a
harder concept for me. I know I should use some of these words in my essays to make the essays
sound more sophisticated, but trying to use strong vocabulary is one of my weaknesses when
writing. I hope to continue to improve my verbal advantage knowledge, and apply the use of
some of these words within my writing as I know it will help me become a more advanced
writer.
