Nathan is a 1st year MSc student working under the supervision of Dr.

Robert Ban
dsma within the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto.
His research is focused on understanding the pathogenesis of the metabolic dysa
daptation in severe malnutrition. More specifically he is looking at how severe
malnutrition is associated with long-term effects on endocrine pancreatic and he
patic metabolic function and whole body metabolism. As Research and Campus Offic
er Nathan hopes to raise awareness and educate the campus community about diabet
es and current diabetes research. In his free time Nathan likes to run, read, wa
tch movies, and spend time outdoors.
