religion and is worshipped as the supreme god in
Shaivism, despite being God of Destruction he is
also known as lord of mercy and compassion, he
can destroy evil and grant wisdom. So let us start
with the symbols.

We humans have our mind spread all around...in
desires, lust, greed, etc.... the one who keeps all
the material energies locked like Shivas matted
locks, will become wise and able to focus better
thus succeed in life.

The third eye of Lord Shiva symbolizes looking at a

what you see from the two materialistic eyes and

finally overcoming problems.

The blueness of Lord Shivas throat is because he
drank the poison which is so dangerous that it can
destroy the earth even if a drop is spilled on earth
so he drank the poison and stored it in his neck
and this symbolizes suppression of anger.

The snake on neck represents ego which once
controlled can be worn as an ornament. Which
