Tori Hicks was enrolled in my AP Language class last year and 10th Grade Honors World
Literature class two years ago. I have come to know her over the last two years, and she has
proven to be the same centered, cultured and intelligent student I knew in the classroom. Other
teachers are equally impressed with her efforts.
Tori is that student. She is the person who not only has a devotion to learning, but an ease and
passion when helping others learn challenging material. She is a service-driven person who has
devoted endless hours of community service to her school and local community, while balancing
a busy schedule of after school sports and activities. During the school year, she challenges
herself by maintaining a difficult schedule of Honors and AP classes. I am pleased to have
taught her, and I am proud to see how well she has done as a student.
I have no reservations in my recommendation of Tori Hicks. She represents that small group of
students truly in touch with the long-term value of commitment. She is a role model and leader
for others her age, and I believe she will be an active mentor to those around her. I encourage
you to consider this recommendation of Tori as she is an exemplary representative of her
generation.
