Heat Insulation Sheet

SCOPE
The scope of this document is to present the proposed heat insulation material and its
application method on top of the roof slab.
INTRODUCTION
The heat insulation board shall be used for omitted the solar heat transparent through the
roof slab. So that it should have low thermal conductivity, in addition to that some of
structural issues may occur due to this, such as water absorption, structural weight,
durability, etc. Therefore considering all these factors FOAMULAR-METRIC FM250
has been selected for heat insulation in Sithma Development Project.

METHODOLOGY

After the concreting of roof slab water proofing membrane shall apply according to
the specifications.

Then the 20mm thick 1:3 cement sand protective bed shall lay as a protection for
water proofing membrane as well as to a surface for heat insulation sheet laying.

The insulated area (effective area) shall be decided with the consultant.

The joints of the sheets shall complete with butt joints.

After laying insulation sheet 1000g polythene layer will apply as a protection for
insulation sheets.
