Eray follows a tailor-made program aimed primarily at elevating his
already-advanced ability to even greater fluency. His job as a
senior manager at the headquarters of Aegon, a multinational
insurer, involves conversing in English with senior company
personnel.
We use a mixture of standard English textbooks, specialized
business English texts and a lot of real material (news stories,
videos, recordings) to help Eray move closer to full fluency. Eray
has now mastered most advanced grammar forms in English, up to
and including third and mixed conditionals, for example, as well as
the most difficult tenses and aspects (future in the past, for
example).
Due to the varied nature of our course material, and use of
different textbook series, I have not tested Eray recently. However,
he is more than capable of handling material at the C1.2 or even
C2 level now.
I would recommend one of two future courses for Eray. Either
continue with the mix of text lessons and real materials to further
build his oral fluency, or begin a more structured, measurable
course by using an advanced text, perhaps most usefully a
business text such as Market Leader.
