Use

Averaging a series of consecutive

measurements
1. Press
key to initiate series.
2. Display will indicate status with counter showing
number of impacts done (max. 99).
3. Test as usual - each measurement is indicated.
4. Use
key to cancel current measurement
(counter will decrement).
5. After last measurement, press
key several times

Test Requirements
Mass and thickness

above 5 kg (11lbs)

Support and curved areas

Avoid yielding or oscillation of

specimen while testing.

Surface preparation
Clean, dry, smooth test surface required.
Roughness class ISO N7 and better
Max. roughness Rt 10 m (400 in.)
Mean roughness Ra 2 m (80 in.)
Avoid heat or surface deformation while
preparing the test surface.

2-5 kg (4.5-11lbs) needs solid support

R30mm
(1.2 inch)
0.1 - 2 kg (0.25 - 4.5 lbs) needs coupling

on solid support

Min. specimen thickness

uncoupled 25 mm (1inch), coupled 3 mm
(1/8 inch) surface layer 0.8 mm (1/32 inch)

Special support rings for testing

concave or convex curved
surfaces (R 30mm, 1.2inch)
available.

careful surface preparation

Excessive variance of test results
indicates poor surface preparation.

Recommendation
Periodically verify proper performance of your BAMBINO on a calibrated test block. Factory calibration once a year is
suggested by international quality standards on test instrumentation.
