Description
Dato' Seri H'ng Bok San serves as Executive Chairman of the Board of GUH Holdings Bhd. He was
appointed to the Board on January 6, 1994. He was Chairman of the Board from January 6, 1994 to
January 1, 2006, and as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board from January 1, 2006 to January 1,
2008. He also sits on the board of Sarawak Cable Berhad. He holds directorships in several other
private limited companies. An experienced and entrepreneur who completed high school
examination in the early years with a Certificate in Business Administration and Accounting obtained
in Singapore, he started his career in various fields from marketing management, business
administration to the setting up of businesses and manufacturing. He founded Leader Cable Industry
in 1976 and implemented a restructuring and merger exercise between Leader Cable Industry
Berhad and Universal Cable (M) Berhad and established Leader Universal Holdings Berhad as the
holding at yahoo company, which was formerly listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Dato' H'ng (Kenneth) Bak Tee serves as Chief Executive Officer, Company Secretary, Managing
Director and Executive Director of GUH Holdings Bhd since March 8, 2007. He was appointed first
appointed to the Board on September 1, 2004. He is also Member of Remuneration Committee of the
Board. He graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics with Double Honours in Computer Science and
Combinatoric and Optimization and a Master's Degree in Management Science from the University
of Waterloo, Canada. He is Member of the Institute of Approved Company Secretaries, an affiliate of
Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and affiliate of Registered Financial
Planner. Currently he also serves as a Director of all subsidiaries of the Group and several other
private limited companies. He is a Board member of Binary University College of Management and
Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, he was with International Business Machine (IBM) in Kuala Lumpur
and IBM in Asia South Pacific Area HQ in Hong Kong. He was also with Leader University Holdings
Berhad for 15 years.
Ms. Kee Gim Tee serves as Company Secretary of GUH Holdings Bhd. She was appointed on March
8, 2007.

Dato' H'ng Bak Seah serves as Non-Executive

Director of GUH Holdings Bhd since January 13,
1994. He also holds directorships in several other
local and overseas private limited companies. Upon
completing his high school education, he started his
career in the field of pewter and magnet wire
manufacturing and operations. Subsequently, he
ventured into telecommunications and power cable
business. He has held various positions from the
Group Managing Director of Leader Universal Holdings Berhad since 1993 until his appointment as
the Executive Vice Chairman from 1997 to 2005.
Datin H'ng (Jessica) Hsieh Ling serves as Non-Executive Director of GUH Holdings Bhd. She was

appointed to the Board on February 20, 2001. She is a member of Audit Committee. She holds
directorships in several other private limited companies. Datin Jessica graduated from Southern
Illinois University, USA, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and obtained Master of Science in
Taxation from Drexel University, USA. She started her career by holding various positions in
multinational companies and gained knowledge and experience in corporate finance and business
management prior to joining Leader Universal Holdings Berhad.

Dato' Ismail Bin Hamzah serves as Independent NonExecutive Director of GUH Holdings Bhd since
December 19, 2001. He serves as Chairman of the
Nomination Committee and the Remuneration
Committee of the Board. He is also Member of the Audit
Committee. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 1970 with a Bachelor of Economics
(Hons) in Analytical Economics. He sits on the board of a few public listed companies, namely
Engtex Group Berhad, SCC Holdings Berhad, Marco Holdings Berhad and Goh Ban Huat Berhad.
Apart from serving as a Director of public listed companies, he also serves as a Director of several
other private limited companies. He started his career by holding various positions in the
government agencies and organizations. He gained knowledge and experience from economics to
finance acquired throughout his career and tenure of service in the government authorities for more
than 30 years.
Wan Ismail Bin Wan Nik serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of GUH Holdings Bhd. He
was appointed to the Board on January 26, 1994 as Independent Director. He was then appointed as
Executive Director of the Company with effect from February 20, 2001 until his retirement as NonExecutive Director on January 1, 2006. He has been Independent Non-Executive Director of the
Company since January 1, 2008. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 1971 with Bachelor
of Economics. He is also a Director of several other private limited companies. He also completed
the examinations of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK in 1970 and the
Securities Institute of Australia in 1972. Through his career that involved in various industries, he
has gained knowledge and diversified business experiences, including commercial banking,
investment, property development, manufacturing and trading. He once served as a Director in a
few public listed companies.
Mr. Chew Hock Lin serves as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of GUH Holdings Bhd
since 2008. He was first appointed to the Board on February 20, 2001 as Independent NonExecutive Director. He chairs the Audit Committee and is Member of the Nomination Committee and
the Remuneration Committee of the Board. He is also a Director of Hunza Properties Berhad and
Master-Pack Group Berhad. He holds Bachelor of Commerce from University of Western Australia.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He is a member of the
Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of
Accountants. He is also a Fellow of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia. He is a former partner of an
international audit firm. He has more than 30 years of working experience in various areas covering
auditing, accounting, finance and tax.
Dato' Gan Kong Meng has been Non-Executive Independent Director at Guh Holdings Bhd. since
June 1, 2015. He holds Master of Social Science (AnthropologySocialogy) - USM; Bachelor of Science
in Physics/Mathematics - USM and Diploma in Police Science - UKM. He is Senior Vice President
(Corporate Integrity) & Chairman (Credit Review and Risk Assessment) of RGB International Sdn.
Bhd. He was with Malaysia Royal Police Force (1976-2014) at OCPD Georgetown, Penang and OCCI

of KL City and various posts in special branch, management and public order. He was Teacher (1
year) at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bentara Luar, Batu Pahat, Johor.
Mr. Lai Chang Hun serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of GUH Holdings Bhd. He was
appointed to the Board as Executive Director on January 13, 1994. He has been Independent NonExecutive Director since March 16, 2005. He is Member of the Nomination Committee of the Board.
He also holds directorships in several other private limited companies. He was the Chairman of
Penang Electrical Merchant Association and he presently serves as one of the Trustees in the
Association. He is a Director of Han Chiang High School and College and also serves as a Director in
a number of social societies. He completed his high school education and obtained a diploma in
electrical and electronic in the early year. He started his career in the electrical engineering
business. Over the years, he has gained knowledge and business experience in the manufacturing
and marketing of electronics and electrical products and appliances.
