Objective
My career goals include working with youth/students, working with the community as a whole and
being a positive leader. Being able to use past experiences of successful observations and practicum
hours, I learned more about myself, my abilities to work with diverse groups of people and what it
takes to be successful when put into difficult situations.

Work Experience
Coaching at Club V:

December 2013-April 2014

Coached a 15s club team at a well-known club volleyball program in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was able
to coach a developmental team that at the end of their season win the silver bracket of their last
tournament. Teaching the fundamentals of volleyball and being able to work under the pressure of
being a head coach of a team.
Summer Fun Student Aid II

Summer 2016

Over the summer had groups of kids ranging from 6-13 years old. Supervising groups, creating lesson
plans and creating safe games/activities for the kids to do every day. Preparation and organization is
important when working with kids in the summer. Having multiple activities that the kids wanted to
participate in and enjoy is
Student Ambassador

2016-2017(current)

At the University of Saint Mary I worked part-time as a student ambassador giving tours around the
school to prospective students on their college tours. Hosting students that are interested in
attending the university. Call prospective students and getting an invoice to those students to
continue the application process.

In May 2013 I graduated from McKinley High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Obtaining my high school
diploma.
Salt Lake Community College

2015

From 2013-2015 I attended Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake City, Utah. I obtained my
Associates degree in General Education.
University of Saint Mary

Currently (2017)

In 2015 I transferred to the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas. I am currently pursuing a
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.

Volunteering
Big Brothers Big Sister
2013
Was assigned a little whom I would go to visit every Friday after school to do homework and hangout

with them to keep a positive environment and be a supportive figure in their life.
-Hilinai VBC:
2012-2016
Working with girls between the ages of 12 and 18. Learning basic volleyball fundamentals. Practicing
2-3 times a week being able to build on basic skills and improving individually.
Know Greater Heros:
2013-2014
Salt Lake Community College student athlete program) Working with elementary school students
talking about bullying, good eating habits, and saying no to drugs.
Holomua Elementary School:
2013-2016
Volunteered in a 3rd grade class and help with any assignments and watching the teacher
(shadowing). Being able to see the different types of learning styles.
Discovery Day host

Hosting (University of St. Mary prospective University of Saint Mary students over night, and doing
activities with them while showing them around campus.

Packages and sent out over 2000+ meals for the less fortunate.
