The question paper consists of 26 questions divided into five sections. A, B, C, D and E.
Section A comprises of 5 questions of one mark each, section B comprises of
5 questions of two marks each, section C comprises of 12 questions of three marks each,
section D comprises of 1 question of four mark and section E comprises of 3 question of
five marks each.
There is no overall choice. However, and internal choice has been provided in one
question of 3 marks and all the three questions of 5 marks.
Use of calculator is not permitted. You may ask for logarithmic tables, if required.

23. Polyethylene and Bakelite are the two important commercial polymers which are of immense
importance in our daily life. Inspite of their enormous valuable uses, the indiscriminate use of
these polymers is being banned.
