Reading Room Rules

1. Observe pin-drop silence.

2. Sit and Read individually on the chair.

3. Do not drag/move the chairs from their marked place.

4. Do not tear pages or put pencil/pen marks on Magazines / Journals / Newspapers etc.

5. Do not misplace or mishandle Magazines/Journals/Newspapers etc.

6. Do not stop/stand near the entry/exit gate.

7. Do not disturb others in their work.

8. Beverages and eatables are not allowed inside the reading room.

9. Use of Cell Phones is strictly prohibited.

Read Newspapers on the stand only.

General Library Rules

1. Library remains open from 9 am to 4.30 pm on all working days.

2. No student is permitted to enter the library without the Identity Card.

3. Beverages and eatables are not allowed inside the Library.

4. No one is allowed to carry his/her personal books, bags, purses etc. inside the
library.

5. A student of UG Class can borrow two books at a time for a maximum period of 14
days.

6. A student of PG Class can borrow three books at a time for a maximum period of
14 days.

7. Late fine of Rs. 1/- (Rupee one) per day will be charged for books kept after 14
days.

8. A book can be re-issued only once if it is not in demand by other members provided
it is brought to the Library before the expiry of first loan period.

9. Reference Books, Periodicals, Magazines, Journals, Newspapers shall not to be

issued except for consultation inside the library.
