Workload concerns and plans to address - feedback (Eric)
Workload: Eric meets with Kelley Rachel and Jenna every Monday. Through discussions with Wendy and principals and others there is a definite concern about the work load issue. There are areas that are being looked at. It appears that it is more in Elementary. We are holding off on illuminate - ELA can serve that progress monitoring. Communication about end of unit evaluation. Folks sometimes need permission to use professional judgement. NTL - John Weisser - some things that we cant avoid. It is a lot for folks to manage. Not
everyone is as quick. It is not well defined.
Plan is to get communication out before Thanksgiving break to help ease anxiety. Eric is working to set up meetings with teachers to find out about workload. All the stuff we are trying to do is good -- it is a lot. Feedback - thankful that things are being taken away, looking at PD options, some of it is contract related. Teachers need a promise or guarantee that this is it for the next few years. Eric is thinking about attending staff meetings to build capacity with staff.
