Student Government Town Hall on Creating a More Inclusive Campus AMES, IA - Student Governments top priority is ensuring Iowa State is an inclusive campus. To address racist and unacceptable acts targeted at students, a town hall meeting on creating a more inclusive campus will take place on November 29 at 7 pm in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union. The town hall will begin at the conclusion of President Staudts State of the Student Body Address. This election season has deepened divides among our students, Staudt said. This forum will allow me to listen to students on how I and the rest of Student Government can help to empower our students to make change. The structure of the forum is still to be determined but Staudt said it would likely be students sharing their ideas and suggestions, while student leaders and administrators have the opportunity to listen. The intent of the forum is to facilitate meaningful discussion between students and Student Government. While administration officials will be present, all dialogue will take place between students only. The address and forum will be streamed live online and available for playback. Students who can not attend the forum can submit questions online in advance or during the event. Details on how to do so will be released at a later date.
Questions can be directed to Cole Staudt: 641-330-1847 or cmstaudt@iastate.edu
