To understand meaning of simple, short essays in the form of descriptive

To respond the meaning and rhetorical step in the simple, short essays
accurately, fluently and related to the students closest environment in the
form of descriptive text.

accurately fluently and related to the students closest environment in the

E. LEARNING GOAL
By the end of the lesson, students are expected to be able to
understand the content and the characteristics a descriptive text.
F. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Given some questions orally, the students are able to understand the
meaning of some word
related to the hotel.
2. After reading the text, the students are able to identify various kind of
information of the given descriptive text ( general information, main idea,
explicit information, implicit information, references of certain word, and the
meaning of words ) correctly.
3. Through working in group, the students are able to identify the generic
structure of text correctly.

Descriptive text about a hotel (taken from English in focus ). An English book
for Junior High School, published by Pusat Perbukuan Departement
Pendidikan Nasional.

1. The hotel has the beautiful architecture and looks like classic castle in
Europe
2. The hotel facilities are : having 100 rooms, a fancy restaurant,
complete sports facilities including a swimming pool, tennis court,
gym, and sauna, there are also a coffee shop and a karaoke room.
3. The rooms look very comfortable. It they contain a big spring bed with
big pillows, a nice sofa, a wardrobe and a television system with
programmes from all over the world
4. The bathroom has a bath-tub with hot and cold water so guests can
bath in it comfortably.
5. The motto of the Hotel is Hospitality is our Trademark
