Task Procedures:
Preparation : Before the lesson, prepare 4 station with reading strips.
1. Teacher stand at station 1 and read the reading strips and move to station 2.
Teacher throw a small soft ball to a pupil.
2. Teacher call out the pupil to station 2 to read the reading strips.
Classroom Management :
a) Rina, come here.(teacher stand at station 2)
b) Read the reading strips.
c) Throw the ball to the other pupils and go back to your seat.
3. Repeat the activity untill all the pupils have read the reading strips.
NOTE: For large number of pupils, teacher can ask the pupils to read in group.

Get pupils into groups of four. Each pupils will say number 1-5. Pupils with the
number move to their group
Classroom Management :
a) Pupils who says number one move here.(Teacher stand up in station 1)
b) Pupils who got the same number sit with your group.
c) Group 1, read the reading strips.
d) Group 1, go to station 2, throw the ball to any groups and get back to your
seat.

Managing errors and mistakes:


a. If pupils make a mistake in pronunciation or intonation, teacher correct it
immediately.
Reward and Feedback
a. Praise pupils when they finish reading.i.e: Good job!

READING MATERIALS

Station 1
The earth is a planet in the Solar System. It is located between Mercury
and Mars.

Station 2
The other planets in our Solar System are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. All these planets travel around the Sun.

Station 3
We can see the Sun in the daytime, but at night we see the Moon. The
moon is a natural is a natural satellite that travels around the Earth.

Station 4
The Moon is shining brightly above us. The moonlight reflects everything
below it.
