Reflection

From this project, I had a chance to take a look at my diet. My first nutrition tracker
was horrible. I found out that I ate lots of bad things and not enough in healthy nutrients. I
got excessive amount of bad fats, cholesterol, refined sugar, and sodium. On the other
hand, I was so low in complex carbohydrate, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Worse than
that, I didnt even consume good fats at all. But after I learned about nutrition in skills for
life class, I tried to adapt my diet. I ate more healthy food and it turned out that in my
second nutrition tracker, the result was better. The amount of bad acts, cholesterol, refined
sugar, and sodium decreased a lot and they were under 100% My amount of complex
carbohydrate, fibre, vitamins, minerals, and good fats increased but they were still low.
However, the nutrients I got were a lot better compared to my first nutrition tracker.
After I changed the food I ate, I felt better because I knew that all those things I ate
would make my body become healthier. I also tried to persuade my family to eat more
healthy but no one wanted to. I would like to continue eating like this for the rest of my life
since after I learned something in the class, I was afraid of getting those horrible diseases.
I felt that I need to exercise more as well. Nevertheless, I thought that this was successful
since my diet changed a lot. I also saw some changes in my daily life, for example, my
acnes were decreased. I believed that if I continued eating healthy, I would see some more
changes.
I can also improve my diet since, according to my second tracker, I was still low in
complex carbohydrate, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and good fats. I should eat more brown
rice, maybe in the morning because I didnt eat much. I can also add more vegetable in
every meal I eat, so my amount of vitamins, minerals, and fiber will increase. I also found
that I ate not enough fruits because no one bought them at home. I think that its a good
idea if I ask someone to buy them for me. Lastly, I appreciated everything I have learned
from this lesson. I got lots of knowledge that is useful and I also can apply it in my daily
life.
