Netball
Last Friday, two teams from Years 5 and 6 went to UCAN to
take part in the High Five Netball cluster tournament. As
always it was a fast and exciting event, with both teams
improving as the afternoon went on. One team came third,
the other initially joint first with Cuddington. A re-match was
played and we were narrowly beaten into second place. Well
done to all the girls who enjoyed the afternoon and, as
always, showed fantastic team spirit. Mrs Dimbylow

As I returned to school on Monday

from my shared parental leave, I
was very warmly welcomed back
by the children, staff and parents
many thanks for all your kind
words and positive comments
about the time I have taken to care
for my daughter in her first year
a truly amazing experience. I was
also privileged to watch the infant
production as they performed to
the rest of the school. Genuinely,
this is one of the most enjoyable
and fun performances I have seen
there are some real stars in our
school. I hope you enjoy watching
the performance on Wednesday
and take away some very proud
moments.
Thank you to Mrs Harvey for
stepping up to the position of
Acting Headteacher; I know she
has led and managed the school
with great care and skill. Mrs
Harvey will be returning to her
position of Deputy Headteacher
and class teacher for the Year 2
children. My thanks also go to
Miss Mottram who has taught in
the Year 2 classroom for the past
two terms, with two different
classes. We wish her well as she
moves on after Christmas. We
may even see her return to cover
classes as a supply teacher in the
future.

Information Advice and Support

Service has produced a fact sheet

for parents and carers about the
Local Area Special Educational
Needs and Disability (SEND)
Inspection. It is important that
parents and carers know about the
inspection as Ofsted and the Care
Quality Commission will want to
hear from families about what
differences the reforms have made
to their lives. The fact sheet gives
details about the inspection
process and how they can become
involved. Please go to
http://tinyurl.com/zepxsxz for the
link on the Local Offer to the fact
sheet.
Additionally, here are some links to
films about Local Area SEND
