About The EUPHORIA

Euphoria were among the first to bring rock culture to India. They mixed electric guitar with
traditional instruments like the tabla, dholak and sitar to create mesmerising effects.

Imagine There’s No Hunger . . .cause

RESEARCH

Food for Rock . . .


Fans will have the chance to gain access into the exclusive, intimate benefit and concert event
at ROCK FOR WAYNE,LPU by supporting the cause.  Beginning JUNE 16th at 9 A.M.,
fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to either Bharat Vikas Parishad
Jalandhar Gaurav , Divine Light Foundation , Sikh School Of Life.  The first 100 fans
(first-come, first-served) at each location to donate FIVE non-perishable food items will
receive a wristband for access into ROCK FOR WAYNE’s V.I.P. event on June 16th 2010.
Fans who donate 10 or more items will receive two wristbands to gain entry into the event
(limit two wristbands per person). For further details, please visit the Entry Coupon Counters
located in departments of LPU Campus.

Imagine There’s No Hunger . . .


Setting the foundation for the 2010 IMAGINE THERE’S NO HUNGER campaign with the
help of a Rock Concert BY the Famous Indian National Band Euphoria, the event launches
Euphoria’s SERVE 4 digital album, a project dedicated to serving those in need.  Following
Palash Sen;s famous song “WHAT IS THE MANTRA OF YOUR LIFE”.

“By raising awareness and funds we hope to get closer to an end of world hunger so that all
people can one day enjoy these most basic of rights.  We are honoured to be working with
Euphoria and WHY Hunger as Ambassadors for the ‘Imagine There’s No Hunger’ Cause.”

Dedicated to its LOVE ALL, SERVE ALL motto, Rock for Wayne is donating 100% of net
proceeds from the campaign, additional “Imagine There’s No Hunger” merchandise and the
kick-off event at Rock for Wayne,Lovely Professional university to WHY and its grassroots
partners around the globe that have developed ways to feed children worldwide who are
victims of poverty and also teach them farming and entrepreneurial skills for the future.

IDENTIFYING PUBLICS

Public relations and publicity are not synonymous, but many PR campaigns include provisions for
publicity. Publicity is the spreading of information to gain public awareness for a product, person,
service, cause or organization, and can be seen as a result of effective PR planning. More recently in
public relations, professionals are using technology as their main tool to get their messages to target
audiences

Latent publics-The Latent Public will b the students and staff of LPU except the LSB department, as
the campaign is going to be held by the students of LSB BBA-6 th sem

Aware publics-The students and staff of LSB and LSM who are aware of the campaign as the
preparations would be going on.

Active publics- The students and staff who are actually involved in the campaign.

There are various tools that can be used in the practice of PR. Traditional tools include press
releases and media kits which are sent out to generate positive press on behalf of the
organization

 UMS: We will be using our lovely InfoTech service i.e. Ums to reach every student
who is a part of LPU so that they can come and join the cause and enjoy a rocking
concert by Euphoria once again in LPU.

The renowned Hindi rock band Euphoria performed at Lovely Professional University,
FOR WAYNE
Phagwara in a student-organized program titled, ROCK ,, For
a social cause
“IMAGINE THEIR IS NO HUNGER”. The stylish band , which is known for its
flambuoyant and lively style of singing, kept the young crowd of nearly 10000 students
dancing to their rhythm, all along the program that stretched till late night. This was the
maiden performance of Euphoria in this part of the region.

The music show was organized by the students of LPU to showcase and perform the music
and performing arts of various genre. Euphoria was chosen for the same, as it is one of the
most prominent groups of India that has such a wide variety of songs to their credit. Their
composition varies from rock to soothing melodies from fast track punjabi to traditional
Hindi. The group has also sung songs for a Indian film industry, most notably for a 2001
Hindi movie titled ,,Filhaal,,.

Amidst the incessant applaud, the band went on to start the nite with a song dedicated to the
glory of the Almighty. And then, the thrill went on from one high to another, as the star
performer ,,Palash,,doled out one hit song after another. The band which comprised of DJ on
bass; Benny on keyboard; Hitesh and Gaurav on guitars; Ashwani on drums; Rakesh on
dholak, Prashant on tabla and the lead singer Palash, a doctor by profession, sang numerous
songs albums like Dhoom, Phir Dhoom, Gully, Mehfuz , ReDhoom and Mantra. Some of the
famous songs like ,,Dhoom Pichuck Dhoom,,, Aaa Meri Gali, Ab na Ja , Bhoola Sab, Rabb
jane, Phir dhoom, Shaa na na and Rock sako to Rock lo etc.

The three hour program ended at 9:00 pm in the evening, with the audience as thrilled and
energized as it was at the start of the program. The show culminated with the what is
considered as the most appealing track of the band viz. ,,Mae Ri,,. The song which has Punjabi
flavour, naturally turned to be the biggest hit for a Punjabi audience.

EVALUATION

Evaluation is systematic determination of merit, worth, and significance of something or someone


using criteria against a set of standards. Evaluation often is used to characterize and appraise
subjects of interest in a wide range of human enterprises.

Event evaluation should be done immediately after the event is over or the next day. Conduct
a meeting with your team members to evaluate your event.

Step 1: Determine the extent to which event and advertising objectives have been
achieved.

Step 2: Get feedback from your clients and target audience.
