According to Bramadi (2016:119) past perfect continuous

tense is a kind of tense used to describe an action that has been
perfect and still is being done at an another action happened in the
past. Therefore, past perfect continuous tense cant stand alone,
but should always be followed by past tense.
According to Lia (2015:85) to form the positive sentences, we
use Subject + Had + Been + Verb + ing + O/C. Negative sentences,
we use Subject + Had + Not + Been + Verb + ing + O/C.
Interrogative sentences, we use Had + Subject + Been + Verb + ing
+ O/C + ?. WH question, we use WH-Q + Had + Subject + Been +
Verb + ing + O/C + ?.
According to Niece (2016:167) Function of Past Perfect
Continuous Tense :
a. Use had, been and verb ing

b. Describes an event that is happening in the past.

II. REAL EXAMPLE

A. Positive
1. I had been studying for 2 hours before my friends come to my house
2. I had been laughing for 1 hours since the Ted movie start
3. I had been working since I join Universitas Putera Batam
B. Negative
1. I had not been studying for 2 hours before my friends come to my house
2. I had not been laughing for 1 hours since the Ted movie start
3. I had not been working since I join Universitas Putera Batam
C. Interrogative
1. Had I been studying for 2 hours before my friends come to my house?
2. Had I been laughing for 1 hours since the Ted movie start?
3. Had I been working since I join Universitas Putera Batam?
III. CONCLUSION
Past Perfect Continuous Tense is to expresses an unbroken action continuing
up to a certain time in the past. In English it is formed by using had been with a
present participle.
