Petition to St.

Dymphna for healing and

relieving anxiety, PTSD, depression:
Sweet Saint Dymphna was a young Irish princess who died at the hand of her father because she
refused to wed him and wanted to live a life devoted to her faith. The site on which she is buried is
famous for healing mental afflictions of all kinds so she was canonized by the Catholic church (though
this should in no way dissuade anyone from asking her for help, she's a very sweet and caring gal!) As
a side note and disclaimer, speaking to a professional counselor and seeking help in the community can
be a very healing experience as well (St. Dymphna is also the patron saint of psychologists/therapists as
well!):
Step 1: Mix together Van Van Oil, Clarity Oil & Tranquility Oil and/or acquire Solomon's Seal Root,
White Sage and Bay Leaf
Step 2: Dress and anoint a blue and green candle with the oils and/or herbs, place on a dish and
surround with flowers and/or mineral curios lepidolite & hematite come to mind (if you take
medication you can put one of them onto the dish as well)
Step 3: Buy or print out a picture/prayer card with St. Dymphna on it and place somewhere near or on
the dish Step
4: Recite Psalm 69 if you're comfortable doing this, it's a long ass Psalm so you only need to say 4
verses or so Step
5: Prayer to St. Dymphna - "Good St. Dymphna, great wonder worker in every affliction of mind and
body; I humbly implore your powerful intercession with Jesus through Mary, the health of the sick in
my present need (petition goes here, can also be written on a small piece of paper and burned), St.
Dymphna, martyr of purity, patroness of those who suffer with nervous and mental affliction, beloved
child of Jesus and Mary, pray to them for me and obtain my request. St. Dymphna, virgin and martyr.
Pray for us. Amen."
Step 6: Repeat when you're feeling anxious or nervous, St. Dymphna is a very kind and gentle spirit to
work with and is very eager to help us with our mental health stuff!
