AGM/VRLA Formation
The formation process for AGM or VRLA
batteries really begins with the filling process. The introduction of electrolyte results in
very high heat generation over a short period
of time, thus thermal management is critical.
Heat generation can be counteracted by
chilling the electrolyte and putting the filled
battery into a chilled water bath.
