that provides maximum reliability at a minimum price.
Based on proven Super Seal II technology, this patented
design* offers a field-proven poppet valve to replace flappervalve type equipment commonly used in threaded and
coupled casing strings.
Less aluminum content saves rig time during drillout
Advantage IPV allows the casing to fill while running
in hole, saving rig time and associated costs

Advantage IPV prevents reentry of the cement slurry back
into the casing after displacement. It can be used in several
wellsite applications including high-rate conditioning and
cementing, and cementing vertical or deviated wells at
temperatures up to 200F. Coupled with the economical cost
and shorter drillout time when compared to conventional
insert float equipment, Advantage IPV is the best quality
choice for the majority of wells drilled.

Built-in Reliability Results in

Advantage IPV is constructed from high strength plastic and
concrete with minimal metal content. In fact, there is less
aluminum content than in insert flapper valve-type float
equipment. There is no exposed concrete in the valve throat.

Successful Field Test Program Proves

Value of Advantage IPV
Halliburtons tradition of extensive field testing of new
products continued with the Advantage IPV. Prior to
commercialization, the valve was tested in several customers
wells at depths ranging from surface casing to over 6,000 ft.
On each test the valve was successfully deployed and
subsequently drilled out to the customers satisfaction.
In each case, the reduced aluminum content resulted in
improved drillabiltiy compared to conventional insert
float equipment.
