1 Introduction
The purpuse of the Generic MMI with Segments is to have a MMI which can be connected to the
majority of CVBC's in order to display the actual status of the application and changing the basic
setpoints and parameters.
This document describes the control philosophy and the functionality of the Generic MMI with
Segments.
Following OS numbers are listed.

has an auto-timeout function of 30 minutes after the last button press or potmeter change. A
power interruption will also end this function.

If during the Testmode Button 2 is pressed for less than 1 second, the Installer Mode is
activated (see Installer Mode paragraph for more info).

3.12 Installer + Mode

If Button 2 is pressed for more than 3 seconds the Installer+ Mode is activated. In the Installer+
Mode the value of different parameters can be changed. Depending on the type of application
(Premix or Atmospheric) there is a standard set of parameters provided. The application type is
automaticly detected by the MMI and the correct parameter list is selected. Table below shows
the format of the information shown on the MMI.

If the value is changed Led 3 starts to blink in order to indicated that a press on Button 3 will
confirm the value. If the value is not confirmed within 5 seconds, the original value is restored
on the MMI and no writing action is performed to save the value.

If none of the buttons is pressed or potmeters is changed for more than 1 minute the
Installer+ mode is ended.

The Installer+ mode can also be ended by pressing Button 3 for less than 1 seconds if Led
3 is off.

Paragraphs below describe the available parameter list for the different types.

5 Water Pressure Sensor

The connected Water pressure sensor will be read and send to the CVBC, the converted
pressure is then read from the CVBC and can be shown on the MMI during the Installer Mode
with Index = 5.

6 Outside Temperature Sensor

Control Temperature Setpoint = OTC Offset + C1 *(20 Outside Temperature) / 4
Where C1 = derived from the OTC Curve number:

1)

If OTC Curve number = 1..7 then C1 = OTC Curve number

If OTC Curve number = 8, then C1 = 9

If OTC Curve number = 9, then C1 = 12

If OTC Curve number = 10, then C1 = 18
