Notes:
1.
OGS = Victaulic Original Groove System. AGS = Victaulic Advanced Groove System.
2.
Lined pipe up to 24 NPS to conform to requirements of Victaulic 25.03, Groove Dimension for Rubber Lining for
Abrasive Services.
3.
Cut grooved pipe and fittings c/w polyurethane lining on inside of pipe and fittings. Pipe and fitting ends to be lined
with the polyurethane lining as required for abrasive service applications and as shown in Victaulic submittal
25.03. Polyurethane lining to be applied to all pipe and fittings per requirements in vendor/contractor manual.
4.
Victaulic Zero Flex Style 07 or W07 rigid joint couplings are specified where a rigid joint is required. Where
expansion and/or contraction or angular deflection is required, Victaulic Flexible Style 77 or W77 couplings are
specified.
5.
Use 1/8 thick C.S. Victaulic Flange Washers when mating to rubber lined wafer type valves, with the washer
placed between the wafer valve and Vic-Flange Adapter.
6.
For slurry fittings to NPS 24, use Victaulic No. 100 - 3D, 110 - 3D, and No. 12 through 15 - 3D standard wt. steel
elbows c/w standard OGS cut grooved ends, with all fittings polyurethane lined for abrasive service application.

8.
Where a process is ascertained to operate at a particular temperature, the operating safe pressure should be
determined by applying the appropriate temperature derating factors, as per ASME B31.3, for the pipe material.
9.
Specified Bolting does not include bolting hardware provided by Victaulic with Victaulic couplings and other
Victaulic components.
10. All grooved joint couplings, fittings, and grooving tools shall be the products of a single manufacturer.
11. Grooved joints shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturers published installation instructions.
12. The manufacturers factory trained representative shall provide on-site training for the contractors field personnel
in the use of grooving tools and the installation of grooved joint products. The representative shall periodically visit
the project site to ensure best practices in grooved installation are being followed.
