INSPECTION OF YT 530

Important points
1. At some of the locations, tank berm was noticed to be above the annular
plate extension.
2. Gap is noticed between tank berm and annular plate extension at several
locations.
3. Tank berm damage was also observed at numerous areas.
4. Near to pontoon No 1, diesel leak was noticed at weld joint between
stiffener ring and deck plate. The leak area is observed at the fillet weld
region around 1 inch in length. The reason can be attributed to lack of
filler weld material during welding. Diesel mark was noticed in an area of
2ft by 2ft all around. Weld repair may be required in the area.
5. Water accumulation was noticed on the roof plate near stiffener ring
around 1m by 7m area from the gauge well box to pontoon No 18 in the
anticlockwise sense.
6. Debris accumulation was observed on almost all areas around the tank.
7. Due to water accumulation, scaling and paint blistering was noticed on the
roof top at some locations.
8. In the foam dam, diesel marks were noticed near to rim seal.
9. Debris accumulation was noticed between foam dam and rim seal.
10.Thick scaling was noticed in the bottom of foam dam around 3 to 4
height facing towards rim seal.
11.In between pontoon No 12 and No 13, severe scaling was noticed around
an area of 1m by 1m on the pontoon box top plate.
12.Water accumulation was noticed on roof top between pontoon No 6 and
pontoon No 7 in a 2m by 2m area.
13.Water accumulation and debris settlement in the roof drain system was
noticed.
14.Below rolling ladder, debris and water accumulation were noticed.
15.In pontoon no 7 paint blistering and minor scaling at all bottom weld were
noticed.mild scaling was also observed directly beneath the manway
which needs to be monitored and checked after rainfall
