    INTRODUCTION TO THE

    COURSE PROJECT

    Residential Design I | INTA212RP P01

    Week 1 Assignment 2
    November 30, 2016

    Part 1
    Clients name is Jenny Donahue single mother with a 13 year old son, William, who
    is autistic. She is looking for a 3 bedroom with plenty of storage, open floor plan with
    room for an office. Having enough space for her and a space for her son, for his
    learning therapies would be ideal. The client is an ICU nurse who works different
    hours of the day, so it is important to be located near the hospital. Her ethnicity is
    Hispanic, keeping some of her culture in the design is key. Her style is art nouveau
    and her budget is limited. Budget is in the low-mid area, so staying on budget is
    essential. Her hobbies are scrapbooking so having a designated area for this is
    important to her. Also running is another hobby of hers, she has won medals from
    this so being able to have an area where they can be displayed would be nice. She
    would like a powder room for her guests and a full bath on the second level.

    Part 2
    Building 3: 1702 Main St
    Romanesque Architectural style due to the arched windows and thick brick walls.
    Tall walls and the way the building is layered also is a sign of this style.
