State of Play, by Kevin Macdonald, is a well thought out smart mysterious thriller.

It is
set in the Congress city room which produces newspapers. On the other hand its a political
movie and is a very shadowy villain corporation that contracts with the government for security
duties and mercenaries in Iraq. The name of it is PointCorp.
When a thief is gunned down in an alley way and a Congressmans assistant jumps in
front of a subway raises multiple questions. Reporter Cal McAffrey spies in hope of something
to be uncovered. With a rigged past connected to the congressman and the aid of a young
rookie writer Della Frye decides to begin to get clues that lead up to a bunch of insiders.
Although they get really close to the truth the journalist must decide if its worth risking his life to
get the ultimate full story. Will he do it?
This movie did not disappoint at all. It kept me more intrigued into what would happen
especially the parts where the journalist is practically close to death. With the dangerous moves
in the garage and the scenes of heroic deaths it makes you really think about all the threatening
things that are happening today and in the crazy world that we live in. This is a very suspenseful
movie that doesnt compare to others. It is always making you wonder what will happen next.
Although it is very suspenseful it is a very spine-chilling one as well. It makes you
emotionally and physically miserable to see people get shot or to see someone jump in front of
a train and you dont know why. Its almost a murder mystery because they are trying to find
clues that lead up to this disaster. Also its sorrowful because there was an affair with a woman
named Sonia Baker or the girl who so called committed suicide. Even though its such a
mystery it is the tip top quality movie ever!
Dont let anyone spoil this incredible movie for you. Just know that the incredible director
Kevin Macdonald, and all the other amazing people that helped make this movie such an
imagination wont disappoint you at all. The film by Macdonald, ever so often wanders into a
state of mind of danger, but the pictures describes the never ending puzzle that will keep you on
you heels. This keeps you in a whole new world of secrets and problems but is somewhat of a
phenomenon.
