GUIN - FRANCIA

ESCENA 1
Se escucha el fondo musical del acorden.
French Accordion Music
Una mampara grande con el dibujo de un parque en Pars, un caballete con una pintura de Monet en
una esquina...
Un alumno vestido con el traje tpico de Francia (camisa rayada en rojo, negro o azul, paoleta roja al
cuello y sombrero de boina, pantaln negro) tocando un acorden recibe a los paps y los dirige
hacia la cafetera al aire libre. (Mesas y sillas colocadas en el auditorio como simulando una cafetera
en las calles de Pars.
NIO 1.- Bienvenidos a todos a GUERBOIS CAF( bienvenue tout le monde a GUERBOIS CAF)
(WELCOME EVERYONE TO GUERBOIS CAF)
Por favor tomen asiento y pnganse cmodos.( sil vous plait prendre vos sieges et confortable)
( please, take a seat and make yourself comfortable)
Disfruten de esta hermosa velada que les hemos preparado.(apprecie sette belle soire que nous
avons preparons) ( enjoy this beautiful night which we have prepared for you)
SCENE 2

FONDO MUSICAL
Monet- Debussy
The musician walks by the easel where Claude Monet is painting. (video with his work will be showing in
the background).
MONET.- (Observes his painting)
Ou la la! What a lovely landscape. I am truly inspired today. Ah Claude! You are a great artist
(laughing to himself) see how bright and fresh the scene looks, your creations are so bright, ( turns
towards the audience) no wonder they say I am the first of the great impressionists. He observes his
painting again) . I think it could use a bit more clarity here, ( he shines a lamp on the painting. He packs
up his brushes and prepares to leave the scene as a couple walks by).
LADY.- Oh look darling, a painter , what a lovely landscape! It is so light and lively! Please, ask him to
paint me, dear.
GENTLEMAN .- But my dear, dont you recognize this man? It is Monet!
LADY- You are absolutely right, he is a magnificent artist!
GENTLEMAN- Not just any artist my dear, it is Claude Monet. His painting would cost me an arm and a
leg! We should better go see that cartoonist over there on that corner- Aller, aller...
LADY.- (Pouts and shrugs) Very well! Tres bien!

Accordion Music
Sobre el escenario estn unas mesas y se acercan un par de turistas , se sientan y la mesera los
atiende.
MESERA.- Bienvenue! Do etes- vous ?
TURISTA 1.- Nous ne parlons pas francais. Mexicanas ( risitas nerviosas)
TURISTA 2.- Parles-vous espagnol? ( con su diccionario en la mano)
MESERA- S, un poco.
TURISTAS.- (Exclamacin de alivio) Ayyy, qu bueno. gracias.
Puede decirnos Qu comida tpica podemos comer?
MESERA.- Oui,oui , s claro, tenemos crosines( crossaints); les crpes(creps); les baguette;
fromag( fromage queso) ratatouille ; vine(vaon); eclair ( ecler) macaron (macarron)
TURISTA 1.- Ahhh, yo quiero . mmm un, un, ratatouille , y compartimos?
TURISTA 2 .- Siii, y yo quiero.. steak tartare con escargots( caracoles)
MESERA.- Vino para acompaar?
TURISTAS.- Ouiii!, jajaja.
MESERA.- algn postre?
TURISTAS.- Eclair! ( ecler) jajaja
MESERA .- Enseguida.

BACKGROUND MUSIC
Paris Street Violinist
A group of tourists appear on scene with their guide walking towards the monuments (Images of the
relevant historical monuments are shown on stage).
GUIDE.- Welcome to Paris, the city of lights and the city of love. (makes dramatic gestures with his
hands)
Tourist 1.- Ooh la, la, yes. This is where my husband brought me on our honeymoon, may he rest in
peace. ( cries)
GUIDE.- Look at the Torre Eiffel, it was built in 1889 by the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel, it took
2 years, 2 months and 5 days to finish. It is a symbol of France, the monument is the most visited in the
world. It also serves as a transmitter of radio and television programs and it is 324 meters high.
Tourist 2.- Pardon me, is there a restaurant up there? Could we stop to get a bite to eat? Im rather
hungry.
GUIDE.- Mr. Johnson, you need to have a reservation, perhaps on your next holiday.
Well, up next we have the Cathedral of Notre Dame, built between 1163 and 1345, it is gothic and
decorated in Baroque style.; founded by Maurice De Sully. This cathedral contains the statue of Joan
DArc
Tourist 3.- Lets hope we do not run into the hunchback! haha

Tourist 4.- Shhh, be respectful.


GUIDE.- Now we are here at the famous Arc de Triomphe, one of the most famous in the French
capital, built from 1806-1836 by order of Napoleon Bonaparte to commemorate the victory of the
Austerlitz Battle.
Well, we will take a brief break for lunch and to take pictures, please be back by 2pm. Our bus must
leave on time.

Entran a escena del otro lado COCO CHANNEL Y LOUIS VUITTON caminando y conversando sobre
su trabajo.
LUIS V- Mi querida Coco es un placer para m pasear junto a la diseadora que ms ha influido al
mundo con su moda.
COCO CH- Viniendo de un hombre, es un gran honor, pues tuve que demostrar que las mujeres
tambin podemos llevar los pantalones bien puestos en este mundo. ( modelan la ropa que va
mencionando) Yo soy la creadora del traje sastre femenino, de la ropa cmoda, el vestido negro como
prenda bsica, sombreros AH y qu me dices del famoso perfume Channel N 5.
LUIS V- No, no, no, nada, no tengo que decir nada.
COCO CH- Bueno mi querido Vuitton, t no te quedas atrs eh? Tienes una empresa de artculos
fabulosos especializados para viajes, que hoy en da es considerada la empresa de artculos de lujo
ms famosa, mira que tus maletas y bolsas se usaban desde 1857 la misma reina Eugenia esposa de
Napolen III, viajaba con el equipaje de LUIS VUITTON.
LUIS V_ Oh s, s, pero bueno, si de moda hablamos, la hay desde la famosa Mara Antoinette esposa
de Luis XVI. Qu moda Eh?
COCO CH.- Odio los corss.
SCENE 6

Background music
Marie Anoinette
( The interior of the Versailles Palace is displayed on the screen. A ballroom with candelabras,
chairs, and a fireplace. A grand table is set where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette are eating)
MARE ANTOINETTE.- OH, Dear Louis, I am so depressed! Why dont we plan a lively ball? If we do
not have the funds we can always raise the taxes a bit
(A servant enters the scene with a platter of food and drops it onto the table, clearly upset.)
SERVANT.- What!?!? The french townspeople are dying of hunger and you intend to hold another
party?! How can you ignore our needs?!

Louis XVI.- I will not allow you to speak to us in that manner!!! We are your King and Queen, show us
your respect!
Marie A.- (Exclaims, outraged, covers her mouth in disbelief)
SERVANT.- I am through with serving a King that is incapable of showing his people consideration. I
quit!!! ( throws the napkins on the table and storms out.)
LOUIS XVI.- You can not quit, I forbid it, come back here!!!! GUARDS!!!! Fetch her and take her to the
Bastille!!!

Cambia el escenario a la iglesia de NOTRE DAME EN DONDE EL SIERVO PIDE ASILO.
En una silla est sentado el JOROBADO DE NOTRE DAME escondiendo detrs de l a la sierva
JOROBADO.- Escndete! mi tutor puede llegar en cualquier momento...
SIERVA.- Pero siempre nos dan asilo en la iglesia, es una ley para proteger al desvalido,
JOROBADO.- Yo te proteger con todo mi.. ser.
SIERVA.- Gracias ( se escuchan pisadas) OH! alguien viene. ( caminan asustados de un lado a otro)
JOROBADO.- Atrs, de m.
MINISTRO- TUTOR.- Haber fenmeno ests protegiendo a alguien que quieren en la corte porque ha
faltado una regla muy delicada, y el rey la quiere en la Bastilla. DIME!!!! DONDE LA
ESCONDES!!!??? (Forcejean y atrs de la capa del jorobado aparece la sierva)
SIERVA.- ASILO!!! ASILO!!!! (Se enoja con el jorobado) YA VEZ POR ESO NADIE TE
QUIEREEEE (los guardias se la llevan arrastrado)

Change of scenery ( Bastille is on the screen)
JOAN D ARC.- (Joan enters the scene, caught in her thoughts and begins to speak out loud.)

What is that my Lord? Theyve taken an innocent to the Bastille? That place represents all the cruelty
and inequality in France, it must disappear. What do you mean my Lord??? I must save her!!!!! But,
how?? I have no power, nor influence.( walks away looking towards heaven).
Joan.- Of course!!!!!, Yes, yes, I will go see King Dauphin.
BACKGROUND MUSIC

SCENE 9 ENGLISH
(The King is sitting on his throne when Joan enters. She bows and begins to speak:)
JOAN D ARC.- Your excellence, God has spoken to me and has asked me to rescue the innocent
people of the Bastille. I need your help.
KING DAUPHIN.- And what will I get in exchange for my help?
JOAN D ARC.- You will gain the respect and loyalty of all the innocent people that I rescue in your
name. They will fight your war and defend our lands. You have my word. If not , may I burn alive!
KING DAUPHIN.- Very well, I will assign my personal guard to assist you, ( mission impossible music),
they are a bit rebellious but very effective. Call the Three Musketeers!!!!!
(They stand before Joan and say:)
3 Musketeers.- ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE!!!!
(MUSIC)
3 Musketeers
ATHOS.- I am Athos, the most skilled swordsman.
( the others laugh out loud)
Porthos.- My dear friend, what about the time you dropped your sword in front of that lady??
Aramis.- And you lost your pride as well, hahaha! ( the three laugh about it.)
PORTHOS - I am Porthos, the strongest musketeer of all!
Aramis.- Well, you do smell the strongest! hahaha
ARAMIS.- I am Aramis, the most handsome. ( he approaches Joan and kisses her hand, she backs off,
annoyed and upset)
( They all are in good spirits until Napoleon appears on the stage)

NAPOLEON.- TRAITORS!!! THIS IS A PLOT AGAINST OUR COUNTRY!!!! YOU MUST ALL DIE!!!!
(He fights and kills them one by one).
The King and Joan are appalled and can not believe what is happening.
KING DAUPHIN.- General Napoleon Bonaparte, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!! They were your soldiers,
they were on a mission impossible!
JOAN.- Yes, and now it will be impossible to succeed!
NAPOLEON .- Oops! I offer my sincere apologies, but no worries, I can turn this around. ( mission
impossible music)

KING DAUPHIN.- HOW????


NAPOLEON.- I will just rewind the film and they can go on their mission.
( Students repeat the scene in reverse, finally once they are all alive they join together and repeat their
famous saying.)
MUSKETEERS.- One for all and all for one!!!!
