Friday
Pray for the churchs in Nicaragua, particularly those in
Chinandega. With most of the church being brand new
believers, please pray for their daily trust in Christ, as the
new Lord of their life. There are many temptations to go
back to the sin that once entangled them.

Resources:
Book of the Month:
Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers & Devotions
by Arthur Bennett
Reading Valley of Vision has been a great help to me. The
content of these prayers reflect the spiritual hunger that
exists in all of our souls. The heart cries of saints who have
gone before us have often become my own and have given
me truths to meditate on throughout the day. -Pastor Andrew

Wednesday

Yesterday in John 11 we were reminded of the need to

daily trust in Christs Word. Ask the Lord to reveal to you
any way that you are not trusting in Him. Be open to correction from another believer. Read your Bible with a heart
that is laid open before the Lord. Finally, trust that whatever difficulty comes from obeying God - He will reveal to
you more of His glorious nature.

Pastor Jason has written a post on the Elders Blog this

week giving some thoughts and meditations on Men@
War this Spring. Read it online and see why our mens
ministry should kickoff this Spring with serpentine wire

Mark 1:14-15, Now after John was arrested, Jesus came

into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God,and saying,
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand;
repent and believe in the gospel. Jesus proclaimed the
gospel of God, which is the good news of salvation, both
about God and from God. Mans required response, to the
gracious offer of salvation from God, is repentance and
faith. Pray for opportunities this year to share the good
news of salvation and for responses of repentance and
faith.

2 Timothy 2:2 says, What you have heard from me in the

presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who
will be able to teach others also. Paul taught and trained
Timothy in what it meant to follow Christ. And then he
expected Timothy to go and disciple other people as well.
Furthermore, he expected that those people would do the
same, and that this would be a pattern for every Christian
throughout the ages of the church. Thats why Titus 2 talks
about older women teaching and training the younger
women how to faithfully live as a woman of God. Discipleship is one of the key components of the Christian life.
Discipleship. This is not optional for the faithful Christian.
Let it be a part of your considerations as you begin getting
in gear for each new year. Who will disciple you this year?
Who will you teach and train in what it means to follow
Jesus this year? What other people will be a part of your
walk with Christ this year, and in whom will you invest in
the months ahead?
